     Matthew Sean Legerski is the son of Robert Patrick Legerski and Bonnie Lynn Struck. Matthew Sean Legerski married Meagan Rose Pearson, daughter of Dennis Tay Pearson and Kaylene Larae Raby, on 25 October 2014 at 2050 Creek Road, Sandy, Salt Lake Co., Utah.

     Michael Andrew Legerski was born on 5 September 1917 at New Jersey. He was the son of Michael Frank Legerski and Anna Roman.¹ Michael Andrew Legerski died on 23 September 1999 at Evanston, Uinta Co., Wyoming, at age 82.¹

     Michael Frank Legerski was born on 29 September 1893 at Koniakau, Pau Cres-yn, Poland.² He married Anna Roman on 20 May 1916.¹ Michael Frank Legerski died on 19 January 1970 at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming, at age 76.² He was buried at Rock Springs Cemetery, Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.²

     Paul A. Legerski is the son of Anthony Paul Legerski and Rosina C. Caserotto.¹ Paul A. Legerski married Carol (?)¹

     Robert Patrick Legerski was born on 24 April 1959 at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.¹ He was the son of Joseph Julius Legerski and Edith Lucas. Robert Patrick Legerski graduated in June 1977 at Rock Springs High School, Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.¹ He married Bonnie Lynn Struck, daughter of George William Struck and Georgia Fay Warfel, on 4 June 1977 at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming.¹ Robert Patrick Legerski graduated in 1981 at University of Wyoming, Laramie, Albany Co., Wyoming, Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Education.¹ In 2005 Robert Patrick Legerski was a teacher, at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming. He retired in June 2016 at Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming. He lived in 2023 at 506 Lewis St., Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming. He died on 14 April 2023 at 2017 Carson St., Rock Springs, Sweetwater Co., Wyoming, at age 63.¹



Robert Patrick Legerski

Robert “Bob” Legerski, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones Friday, April 14, 2023, at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a life-long resident of Rock Springs. He battled courageously for life until the end.

He was born April 24, 1959 in Rock Springs; the son of Joseph Legerski and Edith “Bonnie” Legerski.

Bob attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1977 graduate of Rock Springs High School. He attended University of Wyoming and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Education.

He married the love of his life Bonnie Struck on June 4, 1977 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Bob was employed by Sweetwater County School District #1 as a Computer Technology teacher and coach for 32 years. He retired in May of 2015.

Following his retirement, he continued working with the youth community coaching junior high boys’ and girls’ basketball and the RSHS golf team.

He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community and the Knights of Columbus.

Bob was passionate about his faith and a fierce protector of his family, especially his grandchildren. He would devote as much time as possible with them. He spent his retirement being a sensitive caregiver for his mother, mother-in-law and aunt.

He took great pride in his yard spending most of the summer months outside. It was not uncommon to see him mow the lawn multiple times during the week, or find him sitting and admiring the flower gardens his wife planted.

He was an avid golfer; enjoyed hunting; fishing; camping and shopping for good deals at the pawn shop.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie of 45 years of Rock Springs, Wyoming; mother, Edith “Bonnie” Legerski of Rock Springs, Wyoming; mother-in-law, Georgia Fay Struck of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son, Matthew Legerski and wife Meagan of St. George, Utah; one daughter, Kristin Legerski Doerr and husband Jason of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three brothers, Joe Legerski and wife Jamie of Daybreak, Utah; Bill Legerski and wife Jackie of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Tony Legerski and wife Bernie of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two sister-in-laws, Terri Redman and husband Steve of Lyman, Wyoming; Susan Nichols of Rock Springs, Wyoming one brother-in-law, Daniel Struck of Rock Springs, Wyoming; five grandchildren, Ava; Addie; Leah; Trey and Emri; one aunt, Isabel Muir; numerous cousins; six nieces; five nephews, life-long friend Gerald Mattinson of Laramie, Wyoming and several close friends in Rock Springs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Legerski; father-in-law, George Struck; uncle, Louis Muir; one brother-in-law, Steve Nichols.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Vigil Service with Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April, 21, 2023 at the church. Graveside Services and Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Daniel Leighty married Margaret McGinity.¹ Daniel Leighty died on 22 February 1881 at Vermont, Fulton Co., Illinois.² He was buried at Vermont Cemetery, Vermont, Fulton Co., Illinois.²

     Frances Leighty was born on 31 October 1817 at Dunbar Twsp., Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.² She was the daughter of Daniel Leighty and Margaret McGinity.³ E.B. Harn Sheets have Frances born about 1820. Frances "Fanny" LEIGHTY (?) in letter of 16Jul1996. Frances Leighty was born on 6 February 1820 at Dunbar Twsp., Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.³ She married John Hanson Thornton Harn, son of Thomas Sillingsby Harn and Priscilla Fleming, circa 1836 at Pennsylvania. Frances Leighty died circa 1865 at Vermont, Fulton Co., Illinois.³

     Francis Leighty was born on 31 October 1817 at Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Henry L. Leighty and Sarah Smith. Francis Leighty married John Henry Merrel in 1847 at Fayette Co., Pennsylvania. Francis Leighty was also known as Fanny. She married John Hanson Thornton Harn, son of Thomas Sillingsby Harn and Priscilla Fleming, on 15 April 1863 at Pennsylvania. Francis Leighty died on 28 March 1889 at Vermont, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 71.¹ She was buried at Vermont Cemetery, Vermont, Fulton Co., Illinois.¹

     Henry L. Leighty was born in 1782 at Dunbar, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Jacob Leighty and Frances Fuchs. Henry L. Leighty married Sarah Smith circa 1810 at Fayette Co., Pennsylvania. Henry L. Leighty married Margaret A. Varnes circa 1830. Henry L. Leighty died on 4 April 1844 at Dunbar, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He was buried at Leighty Family Cemetery, Vanderbilt, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹

     Jacob Leighty was born in 1748.¹ He married Frances Fuchs. Jacob Leighty died on 2 January 1841 at Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He was buried at Leighty Family Cemetery, Vanderbilt, Fayette Co., Pennsylvania.¹

Shimp and Sara Josephine Longley, on 15 November 1899 at St. Joseph's Church, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^2,3,1 Antionette Lenhard also went by the name of Nettie. She died on 13 January 1960 at 328 W. 7th St., South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

Mrs. Antoinette Shimp, 82, of 409 ½ Lincoln Way W., South Bend, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the home of her sister, Theresa Parent, 328 W. 7th St., with whom she had been living. She had been ill for several months. Mrs. Shimp was born in Mishawaka. She had lived in Chicago for several years returning here in 1956. She married Andrew L. Shimp in St. Joseph's Church here, Nov. 15, 1899, he died June 9, 1956. Surviving other that her sister, Mrs. Parent, are a brother, Frank Lenhard, of this city; four nephews and nieces. Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Chapel after 7 p.m. today and until the funeral services at 9 a.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph's Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Sielzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.

     Elsie J. Leonard was born on 23 April 1909 at Fulton Co., Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of John Sherman Leonard and Tena Harn. Elsie J. Leonard married Harry Leslie Beaird Sr. on 9 June 1941 at Keokuk, Lee Co., Iowa.¹ Elsie J. Leonard lived in October 1992 at Smithfield, Fulton Co., Illinois.² She died on 12 November 1999 at Smithfield, Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 90.¹ She was buried at Howard Cemetery, Smithfield, Fulton Co., Illinois.¹

     John Sherman Leonard was born on 28 March 1868 at Lewistown, Fulton Co., Illinois.² He married Tena Harn, daughter of Reason Elmer Harn and Martha Jane McNeil, on 21 April 1906 at Lewistown, Fulton Co., Illinois.^3,1 John Sherman Leonard died on 10 March 1939 at Isabel Twsp., Fulton Co., Illinois, at age 70.² He was buried at Hickory Cemetery, Fulton Co., Illinois.²
