Lee E. Kelsey, 77, of rural Whitefish, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at North Valley Hospital.

He was born Sept. 9,1919, in Lewistown to Frank and Maud Kelsey.

From 1949 to 1953, he worked for Dempsey Sawmill in Olney. In 1953, he began working for Anaconda Aluminum in Columbia Falls. He retired as a systems operator in 1981.

His hobbies included golf, cribbage and music. From 1940 until 1960, he played his guitar with the late Bob Lawrence and with Butch Cady.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and Herk, and a sister, Elda. He is survived by his wife, Ocie Irene, at their home west of Whitefish; a daughter, Joan Stanley, of Sacramento, Calif; a son, Michael, of Everett, Wash; two sisters, Harrie Knoepke and Vera Kalanick, both of Great Falls; a brother, Morris Leroy Kelsey, of Carlsbad, Calif; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Austin Funeral Home.

     Evelyn Pauline Kendall was born on 25 November 1915 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of Maxmillian Kendall and Anna C. Kassuhn. Evelyn Pauline Kendall married Eino Theodore Lukkienen. Evelyn Pauline Kendall died on 2 November 1990 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 74. She was buried at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Mahtomedi, Washington Co., Minnesota.¹

     Irma Bertha Kendall was born on 20 February 1918 at Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of Maxmillian Kendall and Anna C. Kassuhn. Irma Bertha Kendall died on 28 June 2014 at Tampa, Hillsborough Co., Florida, at age 96.

     Maxmillian Kendall was born on 27 September 1892 at Minnesota.^1,2 He was the son of Sampson Richard Kendall and Paulena Julia Kretchmer. Maxmillian Kendall married Anna C. Kassuhn on 27 April 1915 at Montgomery, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota. Maxmillian Kendall was in the World War I Draft Registration, lists him born 27 Sep 1892 in Le Sueur Center, Minnesota, married with a wife and one child. Maxmillian Kendall married Helen Marie Nestaval, daughter of John Joseph Nestaval and Antonia M. Vitha, on 16 June 1945 at Minnesota. Maxmillian Kendall and Helen Marie Nestaval lived at 1560 Charles Ave., St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.
