     Virginia Leah Davis was born on 7 September 1897 at Orosi, Tulare Co., California. She married Neil Leroy Perkins, son of William J. Perkins and Isabella H. Loveing, on 18 September 1925 at Antelope Valley Ranch, Tulare Co., California. Virginia Leah Davis died on 20 April 1988 at Friant, Fresno Co., California, at age 90.¹

PERKINS, VIRGINIA DAVIS in Fresno, April 20, 1988. Age 90. Retired rancher. Born as Virginia Leah Davis in Oakland, CA and grew up on her pioneer Davis family Antelope Valley ranch near Woodlake, CA. Ms. Perkins was a charter member of the Fresno-Kings Co. Cow-Bells which she help established in 1955. She also served as president in 1957-58 and was named "Cow-Bell of the Year" in 1965. Virginia was also honored in 1986 as "Cattlewoman of the Year" by the
Fresno-Kings Co Cattlemens Association, the first woman to receive that honor. She was preceded in death by husband Neil in 1983 and son Girard in 1973. She is survived by her Neil Perkins Jr of La Pine, OR. Grandchildren Sandra Piluso of Fullerton, Cowan Perkins of Clovis, Debbie Van SickIe of Fresno, "Speed" Perkins and Chris Perkins both of Oregon and 9 great grandchildren . Memorial services Monday, April 25, 11am at Stephens & Bean Chapel.

William Bernard Davis died on 21 October 1953 at Central Point Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 70.³ Death Record said residence was Central Point Twsp., Goodhue Co. His Social Security Number was 346-07-4839.

William B. Davis, Lake City, formerly of Milwaukee, died suddenly Wednesday night following a heart attack. He and Mrs. Davis had moved here about three months ago. He was born July 11, 1883, at Portchester, N.Y. Mrs. Davis survives. The remains were taken to the Twin Cities for cremation. He was a member of the Masonic order.
