     Delilah Mills was born circa 1797 at Maryland.1 She married Lewis Reed, son of Calvin Reed and Olivia Elizabeth Warner, on 20 March 1828 at Muskingum Co., Ohio.1 Delilah Mills died in March 1860 at Zanesville, Muskingum Co., Ohio.1

     Dorothy Aurelia Mills was born on 29 December 1902 at Fort Scott, Bourbon Co., Kansas.1,2,3 She married Ivan Willet Purdy, son of Myron Sellon Purdy and Carrie Coykendall, on 20 January 1920 at Coffeyville, Montgomery Co., Kansas. Dorothy Aurelia Mills lived in 1962 at El Dorado, Butler Co., Kansas. She died on 29 October 1981 at Liberal, Seward Co., Kansas, at age 78.2,3 She was buried on 31 October 1981 at Garden A, Lot 147, Space 4, Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado, Butler Co., Kansas.2,3 Social Security Death Index (b- 29Dec1902 d- Oct1981 KS).

The following obituary was from the Southwest Daily Times newspaper, in Liberal, Kansas; dated 29 Oct 1981, page 18, column 1.
Mrs. Dorothy A. Purdy, 78, died Thursday morning, Oct 29, 1981, at the Liberal Good Samaritan Center, where she had been a resident since March 1981. Born Dec 29, 1902, at Ft. Scott, she married Ivan W. Purdy, Jan 20, 1920, at Coffeyville. He died in 1971. She moved to El Dorado from Coffeyville in 1925 and had been a resident since that time. She was employed by the American Petro Fina for 25 years retiring in 1969. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and the Desk & Derrick, both of El Dorado.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. L.R. (Helen) Cousland, Liberal; one sister, Mrs. L.A. (Madeline) Titsworth, Nowater, Okla; two grandchildren, Craig R. Cousland, Beloit and Mrs. Jerry (Janalee) Reece, Liberal; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado, by Rev. Bill Longman. Interment will be in the Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado. The family suggests memorials be sent to the First Christian Church in care of the church, El Dorado. Miller Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements.2
