Jimmie Guy Spooner died on 18 September 1983 at Baxter Springs, Cherokee Co., Kansas, at age 51.¹ He was buried at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, Jasper Co., Missouri.¹

     Amelia Sprague was also known as Betsey.^1,2 She was born on 18 February 1815 at Avon, Franklin Co., Maine.^1,3 She was the daughter of Samuel Captain Sprague. Amelia Sprague married Joseph Boston Jr. circa 1837 at Mount Vernon, Kennebec Co., Maine.⁴ Amelia Sprague died on 31 July 1858 at Maine at age 43.³ She was buried at Mile Square Cemetery, Avon, Franklin Co., Maine.³ Her Ancestral File Number is Z2Z1-PV submitted in 1993 by Clifford Boyce.¹

     Jesse Sprague was born on 2 March 1818 at Avon, Franklin Co., Maine.¹ He was the son of Samuel Captain Sprague and Rhoda Ladd. Jesse Sprague died on 15 July 1868 at Avon, Franklin Co., Maine, at age 50.¹ He was buried circa 19 July 1868 at Sprague-Howland Cemetery, Avon, Franklin Co., Maine.¹ His Ancestral File Number is Z2Z2-RC.

     Joshua Sprague was born on 27 February 1812 at Avon, Franklin Co., Maine.¹ He was the son of Samuel Captain Sprague and Rhoda Ladd. Joshua Sprague died on 30 December 1885 at age 73.      Alan Keith Sprouse was born on 5 April 1931 at Monessen, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2 He was the son of Argus Cecil Sprouse and Ruth Evelyn Walters. Alan Keith Sprouse married Dorothy Magneson circa 1955. Alan Keith Sprouse died on 26 August 2012 at Palm Springs, Riverside Co., California, at age 81.^1,2 He was buried on 15 September 2012 at Davis Cemetery, Davis, Yolo Co., California.^2,1 He graduated in 1954 at Ohio University, Athens, Athens Co., Ohio.¹


Alan Keith Sprouse
April 5, 1931 — Aug. 26, 2012

Alan Keith Sprouse, 81, passed away on Aug. 26, 2012, at home in Palm Springs after a valiant battle with cancer.

Keith, as he was known, was born to Argus C. and Ruth Walters Sprouse on April 5, 1931 in Monessen, Pa. He graduated from Ohio University in 1954, where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. Keith met his wife, Dorothy, on the Athens, Ohio, campus.

Keith proudly served in the Marine Corps, where he was commissioned as a captain. Later, he spent 25 years as a sales manager for Kaiser Aluminum, which involved numerous relocations, including West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Lake Bluff, Ill. He then retired to Sanibel Island, Florida where he spent many hours fishing and boating, as well as watching wildlife at Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. After 18 years at the beach, Keith and Dorothy moved to Waynesville, N.C.

Keith never stopped reading and learning; he renewed a passion for art in his seventies. He also enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states, as well as Europe and Central America.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Sprouse (Magneson). Keith cherished his children Cecily (Phil) Martin of Davis; Kristi (Rod) Moseanko of Davis; and Eric (Tracey) Sprouse of Venice, Fla. Also surviving Keith is his sister, Janice Dalton of Laurel, Md. Keith’s quick wit was appreciated and adored by his four grandchildren, Jessica Martin of Washington, D.C., and Ricky Martin, Joey Moseanko and Taylor Moseanko, all of Davis.

Keith’s incredible sense of humor and deep love of family will always be remembered by family and friends.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, in the Fireside Room of Davis Community Church, 412 C St. A private interment will follow at the Davis Cemetery.
