Chris Santistevan, 65, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 peacefully at his home. Chris was born on April 14, 1959 in Casper, Wyoming, to Alfredo Santistevan and Donna (Grubtill) Santistevan. He enjoyed fishing with his father and brother during his younger childhood. Chris attended schools in Casper and graduated from Natrona County High School. Chris met the love of his life, Elsa, and they were married for 34 years.

Chris loved dancing, music, singing, making people laugh, creating things with his hands. Chris was a big fan of cars. He enjoyed taking Sunday trips with his wife and nieces to Pamida in Douglas and Chilli's in Cheyenne. He loved his many nieces and nephews endlessly. He spent many weekends camping at Alcova Lake and at Thermopolis with his family where they would camp and enjoy the Hot Springs.

He enjoyed doing yard work. His favorite food was pizza.

He played basketball and little league baseball in his younger age and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

He worked the majority of his life in the two-family businesses namely Santistevan Construction and Majestic Marble of Wyoming. He had the heart of a giant. He never complained about his health issues.

Chris is survived by his wife, Elsa, and brother, Fred (Jolaine) Santistevan, sister, Kathleen (Ron) Jackson, and sister, Carla Santistevan, fur baby, Chocolate, and several nieces and nephews.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Billie Jo (Chip) King, and Joy Lee Santistevan, grandparents, and fur baby, LeRoy.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 4pm until 6pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday May 29, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer with graveside services following at Highland Cemetery.

     Daniel Louis Santistevan Sr. was born on 20 June 1931 at Amalia, Taos Co., New Mexico.¹ He was the son of Salvador Santistevan and Eloisa Martinez. Daniel Louis Santistevan Sr. married Maria Ernestina Trujillo, daughter of Louis Richard Trujillo and Rebecca Marie Sanchez, on 25 April 1955 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Casper, Natrona Co., Wyoming.² Daniel Louis Santistevan Sr. died on 14 February 1999 at age 67.¹ He was buried on 17 February 1999 at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., Colorado.¹

Juan Julian Santistevan died on 1 December 2009 at Casper, Natrona Co., Wyoming, at age 86.¹ He was buried at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, Evansville, Natrona Co., Wyoming.¹ He began military service on 13 May 1943. He ended military service on 20 February 1946. He lived in September 2003 at Casper, Natrona Co., Wyoming.²

     Kathleen Santistevan is the daughter of Alfredo Carlos Santistevan and Donna Rae Grubtill. Kathleen Santistevan married Ron Jackson.

     Orlan William Sapp was born on 22 January 1922. He married Eva J. Maddox, daughter of John Dwight Maddox and Ellzira Elizabeth Sellers, on 5 July 1975 at Coalville, Summit Co., Utah; Certificate # 4473.¹ Orlan William Sapp died on 26 March 1996 at Oklahoma at age 74. He was buried at Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Kay Co., Oklahoma.² Orlan W. Sapp was a Cpl US Army Air Corps in World War II.²

     Ronald Henry Sapp was born on 7 November 1957 at North Dakota.¹ He married Barbara Ann Combs, daughter of William Eugene Combs and Melva Lee Joy, in 1984. Ronald Henry Sapp died on 13 March 2024 at Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana, at age 66.¹ He was cremated.¹

Ronald Henry Sapp age 66, was called home to join the lord on March 13th 2024. He was born to Henry Sapp Jr. and Margaret Pederson Sapp on November 7th 1957. He was raised in Bottineau, North Dakota with his 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

On June 27th 1998 in Polson, Mt., Ron married the love of his life and best friend Vera. They were married nearly 26 years. Ron was her knight in shining armor and she will forever love him fiercely.

Ron aka Henry, loved working concrete at Whealon Construction, for many years with good friends Jerry Whealon, Ron Fricker and the rest of the crew.

Ron was a strong, hardworking, loyal and honest man. He was always working with his hands building and fixing things. He enjoyed reading, playing chess and shooting pool. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. All of his animal babies meant the world to him as well. Ron's greatest pride and joy in life was his wife, children and grandchildren, whom he loved with all of his heart.

Ron is preceded in death by parents Henry and Margaret and brothers Terry, Gary and Mike.

Surviving family, his wife Vera. Sisters Pat, Ann and Lynn. Children, his sons Nathan, Cameron and son in law Shane. His daughters Ronda, MarciJo, Trista and daughter in law Kate. Grandchildren Caitlyn, Xavier, Talia, Leitayah, Jack, Tytan, Nora, Aiden, Augustus, Greyson and Jocelyn.
Ronald Henry Sapp was a good and loving man. He was adored and cherished by many and will be greatly missed. He is loved beyond measure by his family and friends. He is now at peace in the loving arms of our lord.

Celebration of life for Ron will be held in Polson, MT. early this summer.

Sarle married Benjamin Coquillard Jr., son of Benedict Michael Coquillard Sr. and Sophia Mary Andre dit Clark, on 1 October 1863 at Notre Dame, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Josephine M. Sarle died on 27 November 1933 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 92.¹ She was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹

     Louis Sarle was the son of Richard Sarle and Lucerina Mann.

     Richard Sarle was also known as Searle. He was born on 2 January 1811 at Providence, Lucas Co., Ohio.¹ He was born circa 1812 at Rhode Island. He married Lucerina Mann on 19 October 1840 at Tioga Co., Pennsylvania. Richard Sarle married Louisa Meeker on 27 October 1857 at La Porte Co., Indiana. Richard Sarle married Maria Brown in April 1870 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Richard Sarle died on 13 March 1888 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 77.¹

Death of Richard Sarle.
The death of the venerable Richard Sarle, which occurred last night about o'clock at his residence on Huston street in this city, adds another to the list of our county's earlier residents and prominent citizens who have joined the silent majority within a few months past. Mr. Sarle, who has not been in robust health for some time, was attacked with pneumonia on Thursday of last week and the disease took such a firm hold upon his system from the start that the best medical skill and the most careful nursing could not withstay the blighting hand of the destroyer. Mr. Sarle came to this county from Tioga county, Pa., in the year 1854, and bought the farm of Andrew Longley, on Portage prairie in German township, where he lived until about eight years ago when he retired from active business and removed to the city. He was a successful farmer and acquired a competency besides maintaining a good name for uprightness and integrity in his dealings with his fellow man. He also possessed a companionable disposition and had hosts of warm friends. The deceased was 77 years old on the second of January last, and was born near Providence, Ohio. He was four times married and leaves a wife and three children, all residents of this city. The children are the wife of ex-Councilman Will H. Longley, Mrs. Ben Coquillard, and Louis Sarle.
The funeral will probably take place Friday afternoon, but all the arrangements have not yet been completed.
