Mrs. Marshall T. Perkins, who has suffered for a long time from Bright's disease and whose death has been momentarily expected for several days, passed away at 12 o'clock last night. The deceased, whose maiden name was Anna Purdy, and who was the daughter of the late David Purdy, was born and raised in Goodhue. She was 38 years of age and leaves a husband and nine children. The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning at the residence on Main street, Rev. C.C. Rollit officiating. Internment will be in the Featherstone cemetery. The pallbearers were Tim Tripp, C. Bryan, Charles R. Crandall, A.B. Crandall, Charles Perkins and Charles Brown.^1,5

Taylor, on 15 November 1888 at Featherstone, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.³ Caroline Anna Purdy died on 4 September 1918 at Mounds Hospital, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 53.^4,1 The cause of death was a brain tumor. She was buried on 6 September 1918 at Hope Cemetery, Featherstone Twsp., Goodhue Co., Minnesota.^4,1 Grave has the name Carrie, June 20, 1865 to Sept 4, 1918.

The sad news was received today of the death of Mrs. Grant Featherstone of Featherstone township, which occurred at Mounds hospital, St. Paul, this morning following an operation for brain tumor.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Grant Featherstone, whose death occurred at Mounds hospital, St. Paul, Wednesday morning following an operation for tumor of the brain, will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from Swanson's Sons' undertaking rooms and at 2 o'clock at the First Methodist church. Rev. J.E. Bowes will officiate. He will be assisted by Rev. G.A. Sahoon. Internment will be at Hope cemetery, Featherstone. The funeral will be by automobile. The deceased was a resident of Featherstone for many years. She was born in New York state 53 years ago. When a girl she came to Wisconsin and late settled in Goodhue. The deceased was unconscious twenty-four hours before her operation and never rallied.⁴

     Carroll Eugene Purdy was born on 21 April 1921 at Kansas.¹ He was the son of Lee Sellon Purdy and Nellie Mae Hagood. Carroll Eugene Purdy married Priscilla Lincoln Reed on 15 December 1944 at Pinellas Co., Florida.¹ Obituary of Nellie Purdy, stated Gene was living in 1971. Carroll Eugene Purdy lived at Baxter Springs, Cherokee Co., Kansas. He died on 8 August 1989 at Kansas at age 68.

     Charity Purdy was born on 26 August 1773.^1,2 She married Benjamin Purdy. Charity Purdy was the daughter of Jonathan Purdy and Charity Hadden. Charity Purdy died on 4 November 1857 at Harrison, Westchester Co., New York, at age 84.² She was buried at Jonathan Purdy Family Cemetery, White Plains, Westchester Co., New York.²
