The New York City Immigration Passenger Lists, show that on 28 Apr 1877, the vessel Mosel on it's voyage from Bremen, Germany, with the following Sklenar family from Bohemia as passengers: Franz 49 years, Catharine 43 years, Tomas 17 years, Franz 14 years, Johann 9 years and Catharine 3 years. Franz was listed as a workman. Franz Sklenar was listed as passenger number 262 in the passenger list. The Mosel had 436 persons on board.

The Mosel was 3,125 gross tons, length 349 ft x beam 40.3 ft, one funnel, two masts (rigged for sail), iron hull, single screw, speed 12 knots, accommodation for 90-1st class passengers, 126-2nd class passengers and 680-3rd class passengers. Built by Caird & Co, Greenock, she was launched on 20th Aug.1872 for North German Lloyd, Bremen. Her maiden voyage started on 4th Jan.1873 when she left Bremen for Southampton and New York and on 11th Dec.1875 she was badly damaged in a bomb explosion in Bremen with the loss of 128 lives.

Edward Sklenar enlisted for service during World War I on 15Sep1917 and was honorably discharged on 01Jan1919. In 1920 Census, Edward was a boarder at John J. Nestaval's, and as a salesman. Edward Peter Sklenar married Ethel Gladys Vent, daughter of Edward Vent and Katherine Bell, on 27 March 1926 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota.2 Edward worked for the Federal Government.3 Edward Peter Sklenar died on 13 August 1953 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 54.3 The cause of death was heart disease.3 He was buried on 16 August 1953 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota.4,5 Edward Peter Sklenar was a Catholic.

Frank Sklenar, aged 77 years, one of the pioneer settlers of Montgomery township died at the home of his son, John T., near this city on May 24, 1904. He came to this country from Bohemia about 27 years ago and settled on a farm. Some years ago he retired and with his wife went to live in Tacoma, Washington, from which place he returned but a short time before his death. Is survived by his wife, 3 sons and 2 daughters, all whom but 2 sons reside in Washington. Internment was in cemetery S.W. of this city.

The New York City Immigration Passenger Lists, show that on 28 Apr 1877, the vessel Mosel on it's voyage from Bremen, Germany, with the following Sklenar family from Bohemia as passengers: Franz 49 years, Catharine 43 years, Tomas 17 years, Franz 14 years, Johann 9 years and Catharine 3 years. Franz was listed as a workman. Franz Sklenar was listed as passenger number 262 in the passenger list. The Mosel had 436 persons on board.

The Mosel was 3,125 gross tons, length 349 ft x beam 40.3 ft, one funnel, two masts (rigged for sail), iron hull, single screw, speed 12 knots, accommodation for 90-1st class passengers, 126-2nd class passengers and 680-3rd class passengers. Built by Caird & Co, Greenock, she was launched on 20th Aug.1872 for North German Lloyd, Bremen. The cause of death on her death certificate was as follows: Tuberculosis, pulmonary, chronic, duration about two years. Laryngeal tuberculosis duration unknown. Tuberculous enteritis duration about 6 months. Rose Sklenar was a housemaid.1 She died on 3 September 1927 at Glen Lake Sanatorium, Minnetonka Twsp., Hennepin Co., Minnesota, at age 25.1 Resident of Glen Lakes Sanatorium in Minneapolis, MN. The cause of death was Tuberculosis. Rose was enumerated with Jacob Nestaval in the 1920 Census. Thomas Sklenar immigrated on 28 April 1877 to New York, New York Co., New York,

The New York City Immigration Passenger Lists, show that on 28 Apr 1877, the vessel Mosel on it's voyage from Bremen, Germany, with the following Sklenar family from Bohemia as passengers: Franz 49 years, Catharine 43 years, Tomas 17 years, Franz 14 years, Johann 9 years and Catharine 3 years. Franz was listed as a workman. Franz Sklenar was listed as passenger number 262 in the passenger list. The Mosel had 436 persons on board.

The Mosel was 3,125 gross tons, length 349 ft x beam 40.3 ft, one funnel, two masts (rigged for sail), iron hull, single screw, speed 12 knots, accommodation for 90-1st class passengers, 126-2nd class passengers and 680-3rd class passengers. Built by Caird & Co, Greenock, she was launched on 20th Aug.1872 for North German Lloyd, Bremen. Her maiden voyage started on 4th Jan.1873 when she left Bremen for Southampton and New York and on 11th Dec.1875 she was badly damaged in a bomb explosion in Bremen with the loss of 128 lives.

     Frank Andrew Skluzacek was born on 1 June 1885 at Wheatland, Rice Co., Minnesota. He was the son of Joseph Skluzacek Sr. and Katherine Sticha. Frank Andrew Skluzacek was born circa 1890.1 He lived in 1947 at New Prague, Le Sueur Co., Minnesota; when brother Thomas died. He died on 31 December 1984 at St. Paul, Ramsey Co., Minnesota, at age 99.

George Skluzacek died on 30 July 1912 at Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., Colorado, at age 24.1 He was buried at Saint Benedicts Abbey Cemetery, Atchison, Atchison Co., Kansas.1
