ROCK SPRINGS — George Struck, 82, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home. He was a long time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.

He was born on December 25, 1931 in Casper, Wyoming, the son of the late William and Freda Struck.

Mr. Struck attended schools in Superior, Wyoming and St. Anthony’s in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Natrona High School in 1950.

He married Georgia Fay Warfel Struck on April 21, 1956 in Casper, Wyoming.

Mr. Struck was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He served from May 30, 1950 until April 15, 1954 when he was honorably discharged.

He was employed as a mechanic and a salesman at Morgantown Machine and retired in 2000.

Mr. Struck was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

His interests included camping, hunting, fishing and he loved the outdoors. Following his retirement, he took care of his disabled son David. He was a proud Wyoming Native and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren out of doors

Survivors include his wife Georgia Fay Struck of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son Dan Struck of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters Susan Nichols and husband Steve, Bonnie Legerski and husband Bob all of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Terri Redman and husband Steve of Layton, Utah; three grandsons Matt Legerski and wife Meagan, Phillip Trujillo-Nichols and Dan Nichols and wife Sarah; one grand-daughter Kristin Legerski Doerr and husband Jason; three great-grandchildren Ava Doerr, Addison Doerr and Sadie Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son David Struck.

Cremation will take place and A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 1, 2014 at the Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A vigil service with rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming on Sunday one hour prior to the rosary and on Monday at the church, one hour prior to services.⁴

Jose Salomon Struck, 83, of Taos passed away on August 16, 2005. He was an Army veteran of WWII who served in Europe and was the recipient of two purple hearts for wounds received in combat. He was a longtime Taos school teacher of 9th grade Civics. He was an elder of Taos First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Theodora Struck, children, Charlene Labadie (Gilbert) of Taos, Sylvia Roybal (Sylvian) and Barbara Larsen all of Denver, CO, Debbie Struck of Taos, Jeanie Sena of Denver, CO and Jessica Bliven (Matthew) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Evening service was held on August 17, 2005 at 7 PM at Rivera Chapel. Funeral service was held on August 18, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church interment followed at at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Luz is survived by her loving son, Robert Gatlin; his 4 daughters; Patricia Vigil, Natalie, Robin and Samantha Gatlin; and granddaughter; Emily Vigil. Luz is also survived by her daughter; Joella Jaramillo; her son, Michael Pat Trujillo; daughter Louella Baca; granddaughters; Iris and Tristan. Services will be held in Taos, NM on August 27th, 2015.

Marcella Martie Struck Miera, 50, of Taos passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2012. She was a 1979 graduate of Taos High School and worked at Smiths Supermarket for over 27 years. Martie is preceded in death by her mother, Dolores T. Struck, mother in law, Dolores Miera, grandparents, Meliton and Elena Trujillo and Meliton and Clorinda Struck. She is survived by her father, Bernabe Struck, husband, Jessie Miera, daughter, Bernadette Miera, brothers and sisters, Albert Struck (Doris), Frank Struck, Orlinda Struck, Bernadette Chavez (Jamie), Robert Gatlin, Bernie Struck, brother-in-laws, Julian Miera (Ella), Raymond Miera (Barbara), Matthew Miera (Denise), sister-in-law, Kathie Tafoya (Bernie), Gramma Bordie, Aurora Vigil, numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rosary was recited on March 14, 2012. Funeral mass was held on March 15, 2012. Both were held at the San Francisco de Asis Church with interment following at the San Francisco Cemetery.
