     Robert Dubois Rappleye was born on 13 August 1919 at New York.¹ He was the son of Howard Snyder Rappleye and Nettie Louise Brewer. Robert Dubois Rappleye married Laura Hampson Eyler on 30 December 1941 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Baltimore, Maryland.^1,2 Robert Dubois Rappleye died on 20 October 1986 at Selbyville, Sussex Co., Delaware, at age 67.³ He was buried at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Prince George's Co., Maryland.⁴ Robert Dubois Rappleye was a Professor at George Washington Univ. He graduated in 1941 at University of Maryland, Maryland.² He lived in 1962 at Washington, District of Columbia, District of Columbia. Social Security Number issued in the District of Columbia. The cause of death was Cancer on 20 October 1986.⁵

Miss Laura Eyler Becomes Bride of Lt. R.D. Rappleye
The marriage of Miss Laura Hampson Eyler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dechert Eyler, to Second Lt. Robert Du Bois RappIeye, U. S. A., son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Snyder Rappleye, took place Tuesday evening in St. Mark's Lutheran Church at Baltimore. Dr. Robert Clare, pastor, officiated at the 8 o'clock double-ring ceremony, the rings having been made from the wedding ring worn for 60 years by the bridegroom's maternal grandmother. Mrs. Margaret Ingle played the wedding music.
The ushers, in uniform, formed an arch of their sabers under which the bride and bridegroom walked as they left the altar. The ushers were Capt. Robert Hampson of Baltimore, Lt. Samuel Streep and Lt. J. Leonard Meakin of Washington and Mr. John D. Eyler, jr., Mr. Charles Rausch and Mr. Draper Sutcliffe of the R O. T. C. at Maryland University.
Lt. Rappleye and his best man, Mr. James B. Beattle of Beltsville, awaited the bride at the altar, where her father escorted her and gave her in marriage.
The bride's wedding gown was of brocaded satin, fashioned with fitted bodice, sweetheart neck and Juliet sleeves. Orange blossoms formed the coronet holding her veil of bridal illusion, which covered her long train. She carried a bouquet of white roses and sweet peas.
Mrs. Samuel Streep of Cambridge was matron of honor, costumed in lavender made with fitted velvet bodice and full taffeta skirt. She wore a Juliet cap and elbow-length mitts matching the bodice and carried an old-fashioned bouquet.
The maids of honor were Miss Mary Windsor Burklin of Chevy Chase and Miss Hilda Christensen of Washington, who were costumed in pink and in blue similar to that of the matron of honor. Each carried an old-fashioned bauquet.
The two flower girls, Sara Lois Glass and Martha Glass, wore long dresses of pink taffeta and carried old-fashioned bouquets.
A reception was held at Twin Maples, the Park Heights avenue residence of the bride's aunts, the Misses Helen, Edith and Janet Eyler, where the bride cut the wedding cake with the bridegroom's saber.
Lt. and Mrs. Rappleye left on a wedding trip to Lake Placid and New York City. At its conclusion Lt. Rappleye will resume his duties at Camp Gordon, Augusta, Ga., and Mrs. Rappleye will return to her duties as teacher of science in the high school at Leonardtown, Md. Both were graduated from the University of Maryland with the class of '41.

Between 1957 and 1977 Robert Dubois Rappleye was a associate professor of botany, specialized in dune and salt marsh ecology, at University of Maryland, Maryland.⁵ He lived in June 1975 at Washington, District of Columbia, District of Columbia.⁶

SELBYVILLE - Robert D. Rappleye. 67, of Bayview Estates, died Monday of cancer in Peninsula Medical Center, Salisbury, Md.
Mr. Rappleye was an associate professor of botany at the University of Maryland. He specialized in dune and salt marsh ecology. He retired in 1978 after 30 years.
He received all of his degrees at the University of Maryland. He was university marshal from 1952 to 1972. He was cannoneer for the University of Maryland marching band.
He was a life member and past president of the College Park (Md.) Volunteer Fire Company. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a major in the infantry in Europe and was involved in the invasion of Normandy. He received three Bronze Stars, one of them for valor.
He was a member of Takoma Park (Md.) Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Laura E; a son, Robert D. Rappleye II of Bowie, Md; a daughter, Lauralee R. Rappleye-Marsett of New Castle; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the University of Maryland Chapel, College Park, where friends may call after 9:15. Military burial services will be in Cheltenham (Md.) Veterans Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the University of Maryland Foundation, Dr. Robert Rappleye Fund, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, Md. 20783.

Alfred Rasmussen married Minnie Hartwig on 7 February 1906 at Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota. Alfred Rasmussen married Katherine Rose Sklenar, daughter of Thomas Sklenar and Ann Nestaval, on 25 August 1971 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota.⁴ Alfred Rasmussen died on 11 January 1973 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 89.³ He was buried on 13 January 1973 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota.^2,3 His Social Security Number was 472-10-6279 issued in Minnesota before 1951. Lists birth as 27 Jun 1883 and death as Jan 1973.

     Andrea Rasmussen married Charles Thomas Tracey, son of John Michael Tracey and Bridgett Cecilia McCarthy, on 12 September 1910 at St. Mary's Abbey, Richardton, Stark Co., North Dakota.

     Harland Bonnell Rasmussen was born on 19 November 1906 at Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Alfred Rasmussen and Minnie Hartwig. Harland Bonnell Rasmussen married Luella Blume on 11 November 1927 at Nashua, Chickasaw Co., Iowa. Harland Bonnell Rasmussen died on 13 September 1945 at Fukuoko, Japan, at age 38.¹ He was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery, Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota.¹

Harland Rasmussen was born in Steele County, Minnesota, and died as a POW in Camp Fukuoko, Kyushu Island, Japan during WW II.

He had served in the US Navy on the USS Pope. The Pope was sunk 1 Mar 1942 in the Pacific theater, off Java. Surviving crew abandoned the ship, and were picked up by the Japanese navy. Harland was a POW for more than three yrs.

     Tommy William Raybon was born on 23 August 1922 at Casper, Natrona Co., Wyoming.¹ He married Leota Jean Davis in 1990 at Boulder, Boulder Co., Colorado. Tommy William Raybon died on 5 September 1993 at age 71.¹ He was buried at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Riverside Co., California.¹

     Lucinda A. Rayfield was born on 20 September 1826 at Kentucky. She married Andrew Jackson Parks, son of Marshall Lafayette Parks and Mary H. Williams, on 15 October 1846 at Missouri. Lucinda A. Rayfield died on 25 January 1916 at Centerville, Reynolds Co., Missouri, at age 89.¹

Mrs. Lucinda Parks, who was more than ninety years old, died at her home in Centerville at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning.
She and her husband were among the earliest pioneers in this section of country. Mr. Parks died twenty-five years ago, but she lived far beyond the span usually allotted to mortals and her passing was sanctified by the love and veneration of a newer generation. She was a good woman who for many years had been a member of the Baptist church, devoting herself to the Christian life with great fidelity.
She was the mother of Mrs. W. H. Powers of Piedmont, who was with her when she died. Other surviving sons and daughters are: Jas. Parks and Mrs. Jas. Bowles of Centerville; Mrs. Lucy Wadlow of Grafton, III; Mrs. R. G. Sloan of Centerville. She was a sister of Uncle Wm. Rayfield of Lesterville.
Her grandsons, A. L. and W. T. Powers of Piedmont, and their sister. Mrs. Walter Asberry of Leeper, together with Hon. O. L. Munger, went to Centerville yesterday to attend her funeral.

     Dorothy Rose Raymond was born on 31 July 1923 at Syracuse, Onondaga Co., New York.¹ She married Robert Berkeley Hollingsworth, son of Thomas Elwood Hollingsworth Jr. and Charlotte Berkeley, on 26 September 1945 at Syracuse, Onondaga Co., New York. Dorothy Rose Raymond married Charles Stanley Hirschey in 1975. Dorothy Rose Raymond died on 23 August 1991 at Florida at age 68.¹ She was buried at Naumburg Evangelical Baptist Cemetery, Naumburg, Lewis Co., New York.¹

     Curtis Gay Reaves was born on 12 December 1923 at Newell, Randolph Co., Alabama.¹ He married Lois Anita Guild, daughter of Cecil E. Guild and Evelyn Larue Stem. Curtis Gay Reaves died on 1 September 1984 at Westminster, Carroll Co., Maryland, at age 60.¹ He was buried at Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, Carroll Co., Maryland.¹

     James Quinter Reber was born on 16 July 1911 at Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He married Mary Ellen Jackson, daughter of Irvin William Jackson and Lorena Pearl Wenger. James Quinter Reber died on 16 January 2003 at Washington, District of Columbia, District of Columbia, at age 91.¹ He was cremated.¹

     Joslyn Roseanne Reber married James Merrill Sorensen, son of Mark Wayne Sorensen and Sherrill Ann Sanders, on 22 March 2008 at Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.

     Kim Reber is the daughter of Dan Reber (?) and Linda Tripp.

     Paul Williams Reber was born on 12 July 1926 at Montana. He married Velma Leone Hartley, daughter of Verner Tip Hartley and Mary Bjontegard, on 2 October 1948 at St. Helena’s Cathedral, Helena, Lewis and Clark Co., Montana.¹ Paul Williams Reber died on 29 October 1985 at age 59.² He was buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Helena, Lewis and Clark Co., Montana.²

     John Rebman was born on 18 April 1929.² He was the son of John William Rebman and Vesta Elnora Harn. John Rebman died on 1 May 2002 at age 73.² He was buried at City Cemetery, Salmon, Lemhi Co., Idaho.²

     John William Rebman was also known as Redmond.¹ He was born on 26 September 1908 at Rushville, Schuyler Co., Illinois.² He married Vesta Elnora Harn, daughter of Stephen Adrian Harn and Mary Etta Blodgett, on 4 February 1928. John William Rebman died on 6 April 1994 at age 85.² He was buried at City Cemetery, Salmon, Lemhi Co., Idaho.²

     Vesta Joan Rebman was born on 16 May 1934 at Illinois. She was the daughter of John William Rebman and Vesta Elnora Harn.

     Henry Rebol married Patricia E. Perkins, daughter of Joseph E. Perkins and Sandra E. Brown.

     John Edward Rebrovich was born on 31 January 1923 at Pennsylvania. He married Eleanor Grethel Christopher, daughter of Walter Clyde Christopher and Adna Haney. John Edward Rebrovich died on 17 May 2002 at Florida at age 79.

     James Redeker married Joan Kay Graner, daughter of Lewis Ferdinand Graner and Frances Mary Seiz.

     Raymond C. Redeker married Patricia Ruth Fee.

     Steven Daniel Redeker is the son of Raymond C. Redeker and Patricia Ruth Fee.
