     Janet Elaine Hansen was born on 26 January 1946 at Pipestone Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of Peter Ernest Hansen and Jean Ann Towers. Janet Elaine Hansen married Davd Allen Westley on 21 April 1962 at Pipestone Co., Minnesota. The cause of death was Brain Stem decompression, Malignant Bain Tumour. Janet Elaine Hansen died on 26 April 1977 at Dallas, Dallas Co., Texas, at age 31. She was buried at Union Cemetery, Flandreau, Moody Co., South Dakota.¹

     Joanne Rhoda Hansen was born on 28 October 1942 at Pipestone Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of Peter Ernest Hansen and Jean Ann Towers. Joanne Rhoda Hansen married Richard Earl Hemmer on 5 February 1962 at Post Chapel, Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas. Joanne Rhoda Hansen lived in October 1968 at Stanchfield, Isanti Co., Minnesota. She died on 1 January 1996 at Kanabec Co., Minnesota, at age 53. She was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Ogilvie, Kanabec Co., Minnesota.¹

     Margaret Ann Hansen was born on 30 June 1944 at Pipestone, Pipestone Co., Minnesota. She was the daughter of Peter Ernest Hansen and Jean Ann Towers. Margaret Ann Hansen graduated circa 1962 at Brookings High School, Brookings, Brookings Co., South Dakota. She married Larry Johnson on 6 November 1964 at Brookings, Brookings Co., South Dakota. Margaret Ann Hansen died on 22 October 1968 at Yankton, Yankton Co., South Dakota, at age 24. She was buried at Union Cemetery, Flandreau, Moody Co., South Dakota.¹

     Mary Jane Hansen was born on 21 November 1948 at Dell Rapids, Minnehaha Co., Minnesota.^1,2 She was the daughter of Peter Ernest Hansen and Jean Ann Towers. Mary Jane Hansen graduated circa 1966 at Brookings High School, Brookings, Brookings Co., South Dakota.¹ She married Joseph Pass on 12 November 1967. Mary Jane Hansen lived in October 1968 at Stanchfield, Isanti Co., Minnesota. She died on 16 July 2023 at Braham, Isanti Co., Minnesota, at age 74.^1,2

MARY JANE PASS Obituary

Mary Jane (Hansen) Pass, of Braham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023, surrounded by her family at home. She was 74 years old.

Mary was born on November 21, 1948, in Dell Rapids, South Dakota to parents Peter and Jean (Towers) Hansen. She graduated from Brookings High School. Mary was united in marriage to Joseph Pass on November 12, 1967. Together they were blessed with three children.

Mary worked as a caregiver at the Cambridge State Hospital for many years. She later transitioned from patient care to a clerical role in medical records and various other positions with the State of Minnesota before retiring.

Mary loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Duluth, all around the United States, as well as Canada and Europe. Although her favorite spots always included a beach. She loved watching the wildlife that would wander through her yard and always kept the bird feeder full. She had a generous and giving spirit and was always willing to help those in need, especially by making shoebox donations for kids over the years. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Bob, Joanne, Janet, Peter, and Margaret.

Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph; children, Howard Dean Pass, Steven (Lisa) Pass, Rose Pass (Rick); granddaughters, Paige and Caroline; special friend Diana M; siblings, John, Donna, Cheryl, David, and Paul; many other relatives and friends.

He married Jean Ann Towers, daughter of Charles Howard Towers and Gertrude Abbie Tripp, on 6 November 1938 at Flandreau, Moody Co., South Dakota. Peter Ernest Hansen lived in October 1968 at Flandreau, Moody Co., South Dakota. He died on 4 January 1991 at Kanabec Co., Minnesota, at age 77. He was buried at Graceland Cemetery, Ogilvie, Kanabec Co., Minnesota.¹

     Robert Dewayne Hansen was born on 7 June 1939 at Pipestone Co., Minnesota.¹ He was the son of Peter Ernest Hansen and Jean Ann Towers. Robert Dewayne Hansen married Estelle H. Crow on 2 June 1962 at Pipestone Co., Minnesota. Robert Dewayne Hansen lived in October 1968 at Auburn, Nemaha Co., Nebraska. He died on 3 July 1991 at Cass Co., Nebraska, at age 52.¹ He was buried at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Greenwood, Cass Co., Nebraska.¹

     Brian Lee Hanson married Jean Elaine Robb, daughter of Everett Robb and Carol (?), on 8 March 1991 at Olmsted Co., Minnesota.¹

     Inga Dorthea Hanson was born on 8 December 1896 at Stavanger, Rogaland Co., Jaeren, Norway. She married Lawrence Fred Ableman, son of William Frederick Ableman and Caroline Bredemeyer, on 2 May 1923 at Rice Co., Minnesota. Inga Dorthea Hanson died on 12 June 1972 at Faribault, Rice Co., Minnesota, at age 75.

     Kayla Jane Hanson is the daughter of Todd Gary Hanson and Jennifer Jane Kline.¹

     Kirk Hanson is the son of male Hanson and Lynn Ellen Hanson.

     Lindzey Marie Hanson is the daughter of Todd Gary Hanson and Jennifer Jane Kline.¹

     Irene Hardiman was born on 17 April 1901 at Virginia.¹ She married Harry Lee Henry in 1919.¹ Irene Hardiman died on 15 November 1986 at Fredericksburg, Virginia, at age 85.¹ She was buried at Laurel Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania Co., Virginia.¹
