     David Purdy was born on 7 August 1791 at New York.¹ He was the son of Ebenezer Purdy and Eunice Purdy. David Purdy married Elizabeth Ann Hopkins, daughter of John Hopkins and Elizabeth Hoogland, on 29 December 1811.¹ David Purdy died on 5 August 1864 at Tompkins Co., New York, at age 72.¹ He was buried at City Cemetery, Ithaca, Tompkins Co., New York.
      David Purdy was a Tanner. The cause of death was internal injury caused by kick of a calf, ruptured abdomen.

David Purdy who died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, who born in Ithaca, N.Y., on Jan. 16, 1840. He came to Goodhue county in 1864, first settling in Goodhue township. He then moved to Burnside where he resided until years ago when he came to Red Wing. He is survived by a wife and four children, Mrs. M.T. Perkins, Mrs. A.H. Perkins, S.H. Purdy, Jr., and Wm. H. Purdy. He also leaves his father, S.H. Purdy, Sr. The funeral services will be held at the residence, 712 East avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. C.C. Rollit officiating. The internment will be in Oakwood cemetery.

     Donna Rosetta Purdy was born on 11 July 1891 at Kingfisher, Kingfisher Co., Oklahoma.¹ She was the daughter of Myron Sellon Purdy and Carrie Coykendall. Donna Rosetta Purdy married Benjamin H. Long on 31 October 1917.

Dorothy Marie Purdy married Herbert Merlin McLaird, son of William McLaird and Harriet Sowden, on 21 July 1928. Dorothy Marie Purdy died circa November 1983 at Lake Benton, Lincoln Co., Minnesota.³

     Ebenezer Purdy was born on 15 March 1763.¹ He was the son of Johnathan Purdy and Charity Hadden. Ebenezer Purdy married Eunice Purdy on 29 December 1788. Ebenezer Purdy died on 8 October 1813 at age 50.¹

Ebenezer Purdy died at his home in Red Wing, on Sunday, Oct. 9; age of 83 years, 11 months and 8 days. Mr. Purdy has been a resident of Goodhue county for twenty years, the last ten years residing in Red Wing. The funeral services will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon, at 2 o'clock, and will be private. The remains will be taken to Itika (sic), N.Y., for internment.

     Emery (or Emory) Purdy was born on 8 October 1818.² He was the son of David Purdy and Elizabeth Ann Hopkins. Emery (or Emory) Purdy was baptized on 14 June 1820.² He married Caroline Monell. Emery (or Emory) Purdy married Lucy (?). Emery (or Emory) Purdy died on 18 September 1872 at Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota, at age 53.² He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing, Goodhue Co., Minnesota.
      Emery (or Emory) Purdy was a Farmer. The cause of death was Acute neuralgia and congestion of the Lungs. Death Record states that Emery arrived in Minnesota in 1864.

At Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing, in block B, lot number 169 is the grave of Emery Purdy (My Husband, Emery Purdy, Born Oct 3, 1820, died Sep 13, 1872). To the immediate right of the tall grave for Emery, is a small memorial in the shape of a book, with the only words being of EMERY PURDY. There is also a Grand Army of the Republic memorial staked along side the grave.

Died in Red Wing, on Thursday morning September 19th, Mr. Emery Purdy, aged 53 years and 11 months. Mr. Purdy was formerly a resident of Ithaca, N.Y. He was member of a large family consisting of six brothers and six sisters, whose attachment for each other was peculiarly warm. Two of the brothers Haschal and William, are living in immediate neighborhood of the late residence of the deceased and are widely known and respected in this vicinity. One of the brothers died in the army of the Potomac, in the deceased also served as Captain in the 10th New York regiment of cavalry, from 1861 to 1864. In 1864, Mr. Purdy came to Red Wing. During his residence here he successfully engaged in farming. He held the position of President of the Goodhue County Agricultural Society for there years, and contributed much to its efficiency. Those who have shared the hospitality of his home, and who knew him most intimately, speak warmly of his courtesy and kind of heart. His sickness was of only one week's continuance, taking the form of acute neuralgia, and congestion of the lungs. Not until a few hours before his death was he considered dangerously ill by his family. As he had been a man of unusual strength of constitution his sudden and untimely death occasioned a shock in the community such as has rarely been experienced here.

     Frances Rosetta Purdy was born on 22 October 1904 at Sebeka, Wadena Co., Minnesota.¹ She was the daughter of William Hopkins Purdy and Anna Christiansen. Frances Rosetta Purdy married Joseph Ira Everest on 22 May 1926 at Coquille, Coos Co., Oregon. Frances Rosetta Purdy died on 6 October 1993 at Oregon at age 88.²

Purdy listed as 15 years old, born in Minnesota. Her married name was Everest. She lived in 1962 at Langlois, Curry Co., Oregon. She lived in 1988 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co., Wisconsin. Frances in Milwaukee in 1987, according to sister Geraldine's obit. Frances in Milwaukee in 1988, according to sister Ruth's obituary. Her Social Security Number was 540-22-7872.
